Thanks to everyone who came - a really warm vibe all day long with loads going on. A huge deluge of rain all morning didnt help but nearly a thousand turned out for the event - well worthwhile. Big thanks to the Fairfield Halls for all their help, also to Croydon BID and especially Liz for her work in the beginning especially, and of course to our co hosts Tony and Yvonne from Foods For Life, and of course our sponsors Beanies, Plamil and the Vegan Society!

Art students are needed to help artist Geoff Francis from Bonobo TV re-create his "Weapons of Mass Destruction" masterpiece from Frieze Art Fair in Regents Park in 2004. Drama and Dance Students are invited to don our spoon and fork costume and be suitably theatrical.to entrall the audience.

The winner will be announced at the Eco Veggie Fayre and the three shortlisted poems will be published in Issue 6 of Off the Hoof. All entries should have a veggie freindly/eco friendly/fair trade theme. Croydon Co Hosts Foods For Life Launch 5 a Day campaign

 5 A Day Day Croydon Launch

In a bid to reverse Croydon's chronic diabetes and obesity problems Foods for Life Nutrition Consultancy are launching the 5 a Day Day campaign. A challenge for Croydon Council to be the first in the UK to introduce a designated day every week to focus on eating 5 portions of fruit and vegetables per day.
